How Flood Professionals can help

Flood Professionals is the UK’s first and only flood industry scheme developed in conjunction with BSI to deliver Kitemark certified flood mitigation survey and installation.

All certified Flood Professionals contractors have undertaken and passed an industry leading training programme. They are fully conversant with the property survey process and are familiar with all Kitemark certified products on the market. They are therefore perfectly placed to recommend the best products to suit your circumstances.

The Flood Professionals scheme has been designed to ensure property owners can easily access both Kitemark certified products and certified flood specialists who will survey and install to exacting Kitemark requirements.

As part of the Kitemark certification process, Flood Professionals’ organisations must adhere to minimum compliance standards, demonstrate their competency to install Kitemark certified products and hold all appropriate insurances to work on your home or business premises.

They are also required to adhere to a Code of Conduct designed to ensure the highest standards of service are delivered at all times (details available on request).

For your added peace of mind, every installation undertaken by a certified Flood Professionals contractor will be inspected by a team of impartial Quality Auditors prior to certification.

Following a successful inspection, your property’s flood defence installation will be awarded a Flood Professionals Certificate, identifying it as a BSI Kitemarked certified installation (Terms & Conditions apply). As a Kitemark certified installation*, it should be recognised by your insurance provider.

Your Flood Professionals Certificate is renewable on an annual basis. An annual inspection of your flood mitigation products will need to be undertaken in order to maintain your property’s Kitemark status.

* subject to flood defence measures being adopted to protect every point of water ingress identified in the survey.
